It was just announced minutes ago that a call was placed for backup singers for a new Orco Album!!
According to a source close to the band, recording begins December 8th in an undisclosed location in Mineapolis, MN.
This new album comes as a shock to many disheartened Orco fans after unsubstantiated rumors started that the band had broke up, stating that over-zealous recording labels had come between the band members and the true meaning behind the music. True or not, Orco is releasing their yet to be named set with OUT a well known recoring company's backing. Such a bold step is definitely not the first time the band has tried new, outrageous ideas to connect directly to the fans. In 1997, Orco released a self paid for single, royalty free to college campuses.
But, that was at the beginning of Orco's rise to mega-band status when fans were limitted to inner clusters of students. Now, the band has wordwide recognition and diehard fans in every corner of the planet. Without the publishing contracts and 3 years since their last album, it will remain to be seen if Orco's own ditro can keep up with the now famished hunger their fans have for new material.
Assuming Orco stays on track, the new songs should hit the world just in time for the holidays. Keep on the lookout!

Well, its been a year since we've heard anything
about or from the greatest band ever. But, as it typically does with this band, the rumor mill has
started churning as the holiday season approaches.
According to a reliable source, the holiday spirit has healed wounds with in the band over the
sales of their last record. The rumor also says that they're in the works of
producing another great holiday CD! Apparently, though sales were low,
fans adored the second Christmas album so much, that the band will try it again. According to others
there will be even more guest artists involved in the production including
the Liliths, Erbert and Gerbert, Rob "The Mad Man" Norstrem and
a solo by the famous Iggy Pop!!
So keep those eyes peeled people and those ear open.
The next great release may be only a few short weeks away!

With express permission from the artists, the latest Orco album is now available for download!! Rob and Cory's
Christmas Classics officially came out on the 23rd, but the Christmas rush on the CDs made it difficult
to obtain.
This year's holiday collection is above and beyond all other Orco productions. Two brilliant artists joined the
Orco team for this album to make it truely unforgettable. Revolutionary musician, Brad, lended his talent to
create the instrumental Greensleeves and music ledgend Todd created the haunting O Come, Emmanuel.
Rumors abound with the title of the CD this year. Who are Rob & Cory? Are they band members or simply
an in-band gag. Sources for Convoluted Woolymuffins have stated that the names have nothing to do with the band,
but die hard fans point out that the drummer for the now defunct "Booty Police" was nicknamed, "Drum-Solo Cory".
After an post-release interview, the band's manager remained elusive to whether or not the
band was truely revealing their identities or not. Until more information comes to light, fans will have to be
content with the ongoing enigma that shrouds those behind Orco.

The recording on Saturday went great! Volunteers came from all over to lend their voices to the latest
Orco album. The select few that made it through the auditions were allowed with in the Orco sanctum where
last year's album was created. Depending on Orco's post recording schedule the album may be out in time to
be a great stocking stuffer! Check out the NEW photos section to take a peek at
Saturday's session.

| 2002-12-04 | Punk Monk
Orco has generously provided an original recording of Punk Monk for use on this web site! The song was
Orco's first creation and also their most popular original song by far. Many fans note that this version
is by far the most primal and edgy version. This is because it is the first one ever recorded and sounds
different than many of the other remixes and on-stage performances which have been widely circulated.
Check it out under Downloads!

listening about Orco online!

| 2002-11-26 | Rumors of the long awaited sequel to last year's christmas cd, A very Special Orco
Christmas, have apparently proved true. An intercepted email from the lead singer/manager of the band mentions
a few select tryouts happening at the band's private studio somewhere in Minneapolis on the 14th of December.
While there is no release date or official title for the encore holiday album as of yet, sources say that the
producers are shooting for an astounding christmas release. One thing that is for sure, is that this upcoming
cd should have some new remakes of our favorite christmas songs.
