January 9th Intended going to Cannes today but Miss S was sick all night and is staying in bed this morning and I am wandering about the town. Met several Base 26 nurses who have just arrived. Orders have been received to evacuate all patients and pack for home. I hope to be transferred as the Atlantic at this time of the year does not appeal to me and I'd like to stay over until June. Attended the officer's theatre in the evening.
