Friday Eve.
My dear Family,
Came in this afternoon to find three letters from you April 20th, 22nd, and 23rd.  So glad to receive them.
Margaret it must keep you busy writing to all the Clear Lake lads and how they must appreciate it.
I  met Uncle at the Penn. Station at 11 AM.  We walked over to 5th Ave and bought Floss ½ lbs of tea.  He had forgotten it on his last trip to NY, so got it off his mind the first thing today.  We then took the subway downtown and Uncle Called at his bank on Wall St.  We lunched at the Tavern two blocks down from the Stock Exchange where George Washington used to stop-have forgotten the name.  We then took the tube back uptown, stopped on 5th Ave to watch a parade of soldiers-all fine looking boys, went to Tiffany's where Uncle had his watch regulated.  Walked through the lobby of the Biltmore then took 5th Ave bus as far as the Art Museum.  Walked across Central Park and spent an hour in the Museum of Natural History.  When we returned to 5th Ave the Liberty Day Parade was in full swing mostly civilians representing different firms who were entitled to carry service flags.  It must have lasted three hours.  Uncle returned to Philadelphia on the 4 o'clock train.  This is Koko's night to dine with them.  He would reach home at 6:45.
Floss very depressed with Ben away.  Ben has had a strenuous week of training.  They think Joe is on the water now.
We have been given equipment for foreign service, but do not know where it will be, of course we think France.
Elsie Newboldt is visiting in or near Ardmore and Uncle said probably would visit them.
Uncle has an appointment with the dentist a week from Monday so if I am still here I will have another visit with him.
Glad to hear both Clear Lake and Sherburne County have done their duty.  Mother, thanks for the bill but you must not send me money.  I am getting over two dollars a day from Uncle Same and doing nothing.  We will probably have a pay-day before leaving here.
Yesterday we attended a tea at Barnard College given by Minneapolis girls who are taking the Teachers Nursing College, mostly nurses from the University Hospital.
A letter from Mrs. Pearce this morning.  She is very busy with surgical dressings.
               Love to all, Jane.
