Saturday Morning
8 Ruxburgh Ave.
We have arrived!!
Yesterday seemed endless.  Dense for until after 7 pm with the awful fog horn blowing every 40 seconds.  We barely crept along and even then just escaped running into small boats.  Finally, we left the fog behind us and made good time reaching Liverpool soon after 7.  Sarah Ann and Bertha were on the stage. The former having been there since 9 am and the latter joining her at 2 pm.  We recognized each other immediately.  Got out luggage together with little difficulty-they opened a suit case only.  Came here, had supper, visited, and retired at 11:30 p.m.
This morning we have breakfast, helped with the work, and must now do a little pressing.  Maggie's children 9very seet) have been with an invitation to go for a walk this afternoon.  Everybody very cordial.  Frances is writing Jack Skelland.  Hope to hear from you soon.  It seems ages since we left.
Everything very English of course.  I see where Fanny and I will have many a smile between ourselves and I suppose they at us.  It is a beautiful morning and I am very glad to leave the boat.  Am anxious to get to Manchester and Little Budworth.  We had delicious strawberries for breakfast.  How are yours?
                         Lots of love,   Jane
